What you can upload
- Up to 10 files can be attached to one Clip.
- Each file must be between 1 byte and 25 MB.
- A Clip can contain files only, or files together with a note or saved conversation.
- Common documents, images, PDFs, text files, and spreadsheets can be downloaded later; supported types can also be previewed.
Ask the AI to save files
- Make sure the files are available in the current ChatGPT or Claude conversation.
- Ask the AI to save the named files to Clipboard and state whether to include surrounding text or the full conversation.
- Keep the conversation open while the host transfers each file. Clipboard verifies the uploaded size and checksum before marking it ready.
- Open the finished Clip and confirm that every file appears as Ready with a Download action.
Try saying
Save the final brief and the attached spreadsheet to Clipboard as “Acme Q4 planning files.”
If an upload does not finish
- A preparation message alone does not mean the files were saved; wait for the final success confirmation.
- If a file remains unavailable, retry from the original conversation while the file is still accessible to the AI host.
- Split the upload into more than one Clip if you exceed 10 files or the per-file size limit.
- Do not share the Clip until the files you expect are shown as ready.
