Ask explicitly
Clipboard does not save conversation content automatically. Tell ChatGPT or Claude exactly what you want saved and make it clear that Clipboard is the destination.
Include a title when it will make the Clip easier to find later. If you omit one, Clipboard can create a title from the content.
Try saying
Save the launch checklist above to Clipboard as “September launch checklist.”
Confirm what was saved
- Wait for the AI to report that the Clip was saved.
- Open the Clipboard web app and look at the top of the Clips list.
- Open the Clip to review the complete saved text and title.
- Use Edit if you want to rename it or clean up the content.
Get better results
- Name the exact passage or answer you want saved.
- Ask for the complete useful text rather than only a summary when details matter.
- Use a memorable title containing the project, customer, or topic you will search for later.
- If you want the entire exchange, ask to save the conversation instead of a note.
